About Admission Testing Solutions

We are a team of dedicated educational professionals with backgrounds in private school admission, curriculum design, and assessment design for both practice tests for students and in-school assessments for schools.  

 

In 2005, we launched an admission consulting business where we: 

 

• Help private schools create and support admission processes

• Help families navigate the private school testing and admission process

• Provide test prep courses with practice tests designed to help students shine on their entrance exams, including the ISEE and SSAT. 

 

For 15 years, our certified classroom teachers who understand the content, pace and goal of admission testing have been designing Pre-K – 12th grade practice admission tests featuring original content, age-appropriate questions and time-pressured pacing. But, our tests were always used in person.

 

In 2020 when COVID-19 hit, it was our practice test development expertise that prompted a consortium of independent schools searching for a way to assess their Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade applicants to ask if we could create a remote admission testing solution. 

 

And, Admission Testing Solutions (ATS) was born....

Since launching the ATS online testing app in 2020, many well-respected independent schools have relied on the ATS assessments for their admission decisions.  These schools include St. Mark's School of Texas, The Hockaday School, Greenhill School, Parish Episcopal School, The Lamplighter School,  Good Shepherd Episcopal School, and Trinity Christian Academy in Dallas, Texas, the Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child in Summit, New Jersey, the Sage School in Boston, Massachusetts, and Lake Country Christian School in Fort Worth, Texas.  ATS successfully tested over 1040 students during the 2020-2023 admission seasons.  Client schools are looking forward to using the ATS admission tests both in-person and remotely during the 2023-2024 admission season.

 

Data Analysis

We continue to analyze and document the psychometric and statistical data of our tests to provide client schools strong data on which to base admission decisions.
